Split level stairs

When drawing a Floor plan for a property, there are often cases where there are a set of stairs that go between two rooms, on the same floor.  In Metropix we call this a Split Level staircase.

When visiting a property to create a floor plan, there are a range of style and layouts that you will come across.

When creating a floor plan for a property, there are very few that will have just square or rectangular rooms. There will be many that are L shaped, and this is incredibly easy to create with Metropix.

Hold your mouse over the wall in the place that you wish to start the L, (at this point the whole wall will be highlighted in red), and double click the left mouse button. This will add a small white square, creating a Break in the wall. You will see that now when you hold the mouse over the wall only one section at a time will be highlighted red, and the wall is split in two. You can then left click on either side of the break, and drag the desired wall to create an L shape. The measurements will appear on the page as you drag the wall, enabling you to create the correct wall length.
